“One and a half years ago, we acquired a Polish natural gas sales and distribution company for €112 million. Our goal now is to further strengthen and expand our operations in Poland,” said Margus Kaasik, CEO of Elenger Group.

According to Kaasik, the acquisition of Elenger Polska has been a strategic success.

“When we acquired Elenger Polska, we committed ourselves to growing our business in Poland and capitalising on the country’s expanding gas market. The results of the past year confirm that we made the right decisions. In addition to natural gas sales and distribution, we are now also exploring opportunities to invest in renewable gas production in Poland,” Kaasik added.

Elenger Polska is the second-largest privately owned gas distribution network operator in Poland. The company manages a 2,316-kilometre natural gas distribution network and serves more than 25,000 customers. In addition to operating the distribution infrastructure, it also supplies natural gas and electricity.

Elenger is owned by the investment company Infortar, which is listed on the Nasdaq Tallinn Main List.
