Our company has acquired reliable and flexible LNG delivery and truck-to-ship (TTS) bunkering capabilities.
We are responsible of daily LNG bunkering of Tallink Megastar ship which sails between Tallinn and Helsinki 6 times a day.
We are ready to provide LNG to all marine and onshore companies in Finland.
We supply LNG from Russia, Poland, Finland and Lithuania with advanced semi-trailers. Our trucks are monitored around the clock to secure that the deliveries stay on schedule and the quality of LNG is maintained.
Our team has completed thorough theoretical and practical training, including preparation for emergency situations.
In autumn 2020 we will bring the first and brand new LNG bunker vessel to the North-Est Baltic Sea.

Truck-to-ship bunkering in Tallinn, Helsinki and Hanko
Elenger provides TTS bunkering service in Tallinn harbour in Estonia and Helsinki and Hanko harbours in Finland. Our nine semi-trailers produced by the leading German manufacturer Gofa, are equipped with powerful Cryostar 1000 l/min pumps that allow the bunkering to be carried out in 45 minutes. In one month, we conduct an average of 65 bunkering operations.
We are the sole LNG supplier and LNG bunkering service provider to Tallink Megastar, a shuttle ferry launched on Tallinn-Helsinki route in January 2017.
What is LNG?
LNG, or liquefied natural gas, is produced by cooling ordinary natural gas to about -160 degrees centigrade. Once liquefied natural gas needs 600 times less storage space it does in its gaseous state. Liquefaction of natural gas makes transportation and storage easy and economical. That means it is possible to supply natural gas to areas and properties that are not served by gas pipelines.
LNG is transported by ship, rail or road in cryogenic tanks. At the destination, LNG is re-gasified. The obtained gas is even cleaner than conventional natural gas because prior to liquefaction process, water, CO2, H2S and hydrocarbons are removed.
EU has set minimum requirements for the LNG refuelling infrastructure for Member States. The goal is, by 2025, to cover the EU main road network with LNG filling stations at least every 400 km. The European Union has also adopted a plan of action for the development of a LNG bunkering network by 2025.
LNG is cost-effective
- The price of LNG is expected to remain stably competitive in the long run, as compared to low-sulphur fuel. There are 15 big LNG plants under construction in the world with total capacity of 150 bn m3.
- LNG is high in energy with a lower calorific value (NCV) of 13.7 MWh/t.
- The use of LNG involves relatively low operating and maintenance costs, as well as a cleaner working environment.
- LNG technology is well-proven and safe.
The price of LNG in NWE (north-west Europe) region typically depends on gas exchange (TTF, NBP) or oil (Brent) price.
